Fran has over 25 years of experience in dentistry.
She graduated from Dundee Dental School in 1996 and then spent time working in general practice and in the hospital where she gained experience in both Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry. Fran was awarded her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh before completing a Master in Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) in 2006. She gained her Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD) from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2008 and has been working as a Specialist Prosthodontist since 2009.
Fran’s clinical practice incorporates all aspects of general as well as prosthodontic dentistry; the dental specialty of restoring natural teeth and replacing missing teeth. Her initial focus is on understanding her patient’s needs.
Thereafter, she strives to deliver beautiful, bespoke care in a relaxing and comfortable environment.
Fran is actively involved with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh as an examiner for the MFDS and MPros examinations. She is a member of the British Society of Prosthodontics (BSSPD) and the International Team for Implantology (ITI). Fran’s Master’s degree was completed in the field of tooth-wear which continues to be an area of interest. She supports the charity Dentaid. Fran also maintains a lifelong passion for art as a hobby and especially enjoys applying these skills to the aesthetic aspects of her work.
