- Maryland bridge: small-framed bridge made of metal or porcelain. This is attached to teeth on either side of the gap. These can often be used in scenarios where tooth enamel does not need to be removed for placement.
- Adhesive bridge: the false tooth is bonded with a metal wing to the inside surface of a healthy tooth.
- Cantilever bridge: anchored on one side rather than two. Suitable when only one natural tooth is available to support your bridge.
The type of bridge used will depend on where the gaps in your smile are located, the strength of the teeth on either side of the gap and your preference for materials.
