Composite edge bonding is appropriate for low-pressure locations, such as the front teeth. Your dentist will analyze your bite, and let you know if your dentation will withstand using composite edge bonding for smile restoration. It is primarily to improve the shape of a tooth so that it appears naturally balanced and in proportion with neighbouring teeth. Minor tooth wear can also be addressed.

If you have more extensive wear, chips, gaps or tooth staining on individual teeth, composite bonding is likely to be more appropriate. This technique builds up more substantial composite resin layering onto your teeth.
