Our dentures are made with the utmost care and diligence.

We use lightweight and natural-looking materials that emulate real tooth enamel, solving the physical and psychological challenges living with missing teeth can bring.

What are Dentures?

Dentures are prosthetic teeth that sit over the top of your gums. We can create partial or full dentures, depending on how many teeth you have lost. Dentures consist of an acrylic or chrome base and a set of false teeth that can be matched to your natural tooth shade. If you require full mouth rehabilitation with dentures, your dentist can offer different options for the shade of your new smile.

FAQs

How Do I Know If I Need Dentures?

If you have missing teeth that are critical to chewing and upholding your facial structures, we will always recommend looking at having them replaced. Gaps in your teeth leave you more prone to dental problems including decay and gum disease, but also to health problems such as heart disease.

If you currently have dentures, your dentist will examine these to identify if they still fit, or if they show any signs of damage. Should this be the case, we may recommend upgrading these to a better-fitting set of dentures that will enhance your chewing function and be a better fit for your mouth.

What Can I Expect From The Treatment Process?

The number of appointments to receive dentures is generally 4, though this may vary depending on your current oral health, and the type of dentures you require.

Digital impressions and scans of your teeth are taken to obtain the measurements of your mouth and teeth and to establish how your teeth bite together.

Your dentist will make a close assessment of the aesthetic characteristics of your mouth, and we may ask you to bring in a photograph of you with all of your adult teeth intact. This will allow us to create an accurate imitation of your teeth.

Once your dentures are ready, we can set the teeth in wax to ensure the fit is correct. Your dentist can then fit them in your mouth and show you how to adhere and remove them for cleaning.

We may need to arrange for tooth extraction if you present with failing teeth during your examination. Should this be the case, you have the option of immediate dentures, which can be fitted right after the extraction, so you don’t have to live with failing teeth any longer.
