This is why we can’t stress the importance of routine examinations enough, as dental problems can develop quickly.

• Changes to the shade of a specific tooth (greying or darkening of a tooth).

Our composite fillings are made from a tooth-coloured resin, hence the nickname ‘white fillings’. This resin is durable, and not as vulnerable to compression and expansion due to temperature changes in your mouth. They are also easier to place as we can adhere them to your tooth directly, streamlining the treatment process.

Yes. We see many patients with amalgam fillings who express the desire to swap them for a tooth-coloured composite ‘white’ filling. This type of filling is barely visible in your mouth and contains no mercury.
