As a private dental practice in Suffolk, we can offer state-of-the-art implant treatment for patients with varying tooth replacement needs.
Here at Tavern Street Dental Practice, we recommend replacing missing teeth at the earliest opportunity. Implant-based treatments are the closest dental restoration to real teeth and offer long-term strength and stability. Our patients also love implant-based treatments due to the excellent level of chewing and biting function they provide.
An implant is a prosthetic tooth root, over which a crown is placed. Implants live within your jaw. Once they have been placed under local anaesthetic, the bone within the jaw envelopes the implant. This synergy allows the implant to sit comfortably and sturdily within the jaw without movement when you chew and bite.
We have a selection of implant-based treatments, two of which are suitable for replacing multiple missing teeth. We can also offer full mouth rehabilitation using implants, suitable for patients who have none of their natural teeth remaining, or who require their few remaining teeth to be extracted due to issues like gum disease and decay.
Suitable for: one or two missing teeth.

Suitable for: multiple missing teeth/patients with no remaining teeth.
Implant-retained dentures are also suitable for individuals who want to swap their traditional dentures for a more stable and better-fitting option. Implant-retained dentures provide a longer-term fit, as they do not cause jawbone recession (a condition which eventually results in dentures becoming loose in your mouth).

Suitable for: patients who would like to replace multiple teeth on one or two arches. This tooth replacement money-saving treatment uses 2,4 or 6 implants to secure a whole arch of teeth. It’s also possible to provide a temporary set of immediate teeth for patients to wear throughout the healing period, removing the frustrations of living without teeth during this time (which used to be the reality in the past!).

As part of our commitment to delivering life-changing treatment using implants, we have partnered with pioneering implant brands, including Straumann, Southern Implants and Rex. We are very proud to have been the first dental practice in the UK to fit a patient with a Rex implant.

Welcoming families across the generations. At Tavern Street, we have a dental plan to suit you and your loved ones.
